Hoxsey Therapy

I suspect this may be a controversial question, but does anyone have any experience or knowledge, good or bad, with an alternative treatment known as Hoxsey Therapy? My father has recently been told that there is nothing further that can be done in the way of conventional treatments, and I received information about Hoxsey from his brother. I am trying to gather more information about the treatment before taking it to my day.
