My mother-in-law is having a mastectomy today. She is in Kansas and I am in Arkansas but my heart and thoughts are with her. We are expecting a grandson anytime so she wanted us to wait and not have to make two trips. I have four sister-in-laws, so she has plenty of support. It is still hard not to be there, though.
She found out about her cancer on her 71st birthday. Great present, huh?
I'm not sure if it makes it easier to deal with since I know what she is going through or not. It probably does. She has always been so healthy and active, so I know that will benefit the way she handles this.
Please keep her in your prayers.
Her name is Rosemary.

I think Rosemary has a wonderful daughter-in-law; and I am sure she appreciates you as much as you do her. I have the same relationship with my mother-in-law; and I feel so blest by God to have such marvelous in-laws. All of your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless all of you and that new grandson, too.

Hi Sherry,
Your mother-in-law is very blessed to have someone like you who cares for her so much.
I am sorry she found out such news on her birthday.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers. There are alot of great people who read this board. I am sure they will be praying too.
God bless you,

Thanks for all of the prayers for my mother-in-law!Her surgery went well and there were no surprises, thank goodness. We are waiting on the results on her lymph nodes to see for sure what is next. We know this path that she is getting ready to walk.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers and all of you are in mine!
