Hi Cathy, WONDERFUL!!! I felt pretty strongly that was the case, but we never know for sure and it is always wise to check it out. Did you go to sleep for the colonoscopy or did you try to go without it? I have done both and I much prefer the sleepy shot.... It's always uplifting to hear good news, and a great way to start the day. Love to you, Nancy0

Hi Nancy. Thanks for the post. I was given some valium and demerol which made me feel sleepy but I was fully awake and felt everything! A few spots were uncomfortable so he gave me something else. I'm not one who likes meds. but, I'm not a hero either. Sometimes, drugs are good! Cathynancys said:Hi Cathy, WONDERFUL!!! Way to go Cathy!! I knew in my heart that it was going to be ok. But now you can breath easier and carry on with lighter shoulders.cruf said:Hi Nancy. Thanks for the post. Hi Cathy, I had some unexplained bleeding last Nov. and had my first colonoscopy then. Was your "cocktail" pineapple flavored or cherry? I had pineapple and thought it was ghastly and could only drink 1/2 of the gallon. They were still able to do the procedure and told me that everything looked fine. I'm glad you were brave enough to sign up for the procedure and that everything turned out all right. Blessings, Margaret0

Hi Margaret. I didn't have that flavored stuff you had. My husband did and heaved thru most of it. I had 2 1 1/2 oz. unflavored Fleets phososoda mixed with the clear liquid of my choice. I used sugar free Snapple, peach flavored. The drink tasted very salty but tolerable. The worst part was that it took 5 hours to work after drinking 80 oz. liquid. Since my Tramflap, any bloating in my stomach is extremely uncomfortable. What a relief when it came out(great topic!) Anyway, everything is good and I don't need another one for 5 years. Thanks for the encouragement!
