Just crying, just watched her video.  So awful, 35 years old and a 3 year old baby.  I just can't imagine.

    Thank you

Yes, so awful. I'm living every mother's worst nightmare. I appreciate your support and empathy.

I don't know you except that we're bonded through this horrible disease. There's a Chinese saying that the saddest thing in the universe is to bury your own child. I can't imagine your grief, condolences and my heart goes out to you.

    Easyflip/Richard

    Thank you Richard

That saying is so right. Thank you for your support and sympathy. I appreciate it.

Sandy I cannot even imagine your pain, loss and grief over the loss of your beautiful girl.  This must be the hardest thing anyone ever has to do.....Richard's quote is correct I think.

I have only one daughter and my heart just aches for you.....it is almost impossible to imagine your pain

I don't have good news. My heart is broken. I read here but have not been able to post or respond because I just have not had the words. I still don't. I am thankful to you for not forgetting about me and my daughter, my only child. I am devastated. Here is why.

    Her obituary:

    http://www.meaningfulfunerals.net/fh/obituaries/obituary.cfm?o_id=2665940&fh_id=11706

Her interview with Suzanne Lindley of YES! Beat Liver Tumors:

    http://johnbrunedigital.com/melanie.html

Her memorial video made by John Brune, videographer for Beat Liver Tumors. Melanie participated in fashion week in NYC as a survivor model at a fundraiser for YES! and at Night of 100 Stars Oscar gala in L.A. with YES! These events were magical escapes for her during her journey through stage IV CC.

Again, thank you. I am sorry for not being able to participate and offer my support here.

    Sandy

    Sandy...

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you're going through. I watched the video of your beautiful daughter. She looked very happy. Her husband seemed to be a great support. Enjoy your beautiful grandson, she lives on, in him.

    Condolences

I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter has passed away.  I remember you talking about her involvement with YES! Beat Liver Tumors.  The obituary and video were wonderful and I know you will cherish them.  She was an inspiration to others through the video.  I'm sure that you and your son-in-law will feel close to your daughter every time you see your precious grandson.  It's great that you live near them.  I'm in Lee's Summit in the far southeast part of the KC metro area.  I have no words of wisdom but I will pray for comfort and peace and hope for you and your family.

@Samdy: I am looking for the

@Samdy: I am looking for the right words, but cannot find them *sigh*. I so so very sorry. Please, please always remind your grandson about how great his mom was. Look thorugh photo albums, make her favorite food, keep her in the family! I would pay a million if someone still was around to tell me about my Mother. It's hard to grow up without a mother. So, your job is to keep your daughter around the familyl, keep reminding your grandson about her. Make her food, do what she loved to do. Look at her photos, tell stories. It will help your son....and YOU TOO!!!! You will start to realize that she didn't go far, and that she will always be around. She will follow you, see how you take care of her son, how you help her husband keep going, and still be in the great family you also provided. I wish you ALL strength!!!! It willl not be quick....and it will not be painful. But you guys, together, can make it better...in a way she would love to see you all. Smile, celebrate, love and support each other! You guys are still all a family....ONE GREAT FAMILY! Hugs to all of you (You, the little boy and the husband)!
