    Sun sounds good!
Here in southern California we have what's called May Grey and June Gloom, because these two months usually have a thick marine layer come in and stay.
I'm going to have a quiet weekend and not do much of anything.
Everyone enjoy themselves, or take this time to heal and rejuvenate.
    Hugs~

I have taken a unexpected vacation!
Robert's brother and nephew have come in from Texas, his mom, sister, niece and her husband, with their 5 kid (age 11-2), will be here shortly, driving down from Indiana. I have thrown together a BBQ (pork and chicken are in the smoker as we speak). Bonfire ready to light. Looking forward to a weekend with family.

    Have a wonderful beach weekend!

    P.S. I'm tired.

    the weekend
ahh... the weekend. (thanks for this post)

Just met with surgeon today and the plan is to have 4 MORE weeks OFF of chemo and do the reconnect surgery of my colon, and get rid of the Bag! Pretty excited about this and after just 2 weeks off of chemo, I'm feeling the best I've felt in a year or two.

Tomorrow is my 2nd son's graduation party, so we'll have a couple hundred people in and out of the house. And, tonight and sunday... going to other grad parties.

beautiful weather here in Ohio this week... this is the best.

    enjoy YOUR weekend everyone.

    Hugs

    Joe

Great you feel so well Joe!
Enjoy this days and all our weekend events!
    Hugs my friend!

    Jammed up as usual
Tomorrow I'm getting my hair trimmed (YAY!!), and the stylist is offering a special tomorrow where you get a free eyebrow waxing. I'm opting for that, so if you hear screams, that will be me. I hate having it done, but I love the look afterwards. Sunday will be a busy, sad day. Our pastor, who is a dear friend as well as my boss, will be preaching his last sermon. I'm leading the children's choir in singing a special song for him. There will be a lunch afterwards, and I'm presenting the pastor and his wife with a handmade scrapbook of pictures of church people and events. I'll be working hard tomorrow to finish that!

Sunday evening I'm going to my daughter's church for a Vacation Bible School meeting. I always help with theirs, too, and this year I'll be heading up the dress up area.

    *hugs*
    Gail

PS In the morning Bill and I will go to the farmers' market!

It's gray and rainy here, so I'll head to the kitchen
I'm trying a couple of new recipes; one from my recent trip to France (Tomate Tatin avec Chevre - Tomato Tatin with goat cheese) and another that just looks fantastic (OMG Chicken - with 4 heads (yes, heads, not cloves) of garlic. Assuming I survive, I'll report back!

Day on my own today, as husband is visiting his mother. I opted not to go - she has dementia and no longer has a clue who I am. I don't think she knows her son either, but it's a long drive (2 1/2 hours each way) to spend a little time with her. I'll see her and my mother next week, when we go down for a hike and other things as well as mother visits (my mother also has dementia. Maternal visits are very difficult.)

    Off to face the garlic!

    Weekend
After a very fun five day weekend, I had hoped to enjoy some quiet time and regain some energy before chemo on Tuesday. Maybe even go see Prometheus this weekend, but not so lucky. My mother's stepfather passed away on Tuesday and we went up for is funeral today. It was cold and windy today and by time we got home, I was just wiped out. So it'll just be tomorrow to rest up for the upcoming week.

    man, knew I was tired
didn't know I so tired to miss the weekend postings. I took Friday off to rest been very tired...ended up having a great day with the granddaughter piddling in the house, stretching out across the bed and resting and having some very wise conversations with a nine year old! :) Had my parents and son and family over for taco night with all the trimmings and blackberry cobbler with blackberries picked from our yard! It was a good day! Worked out in the yard today (actually, I supervised alot :):) Tomorrow church and rest.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
