It's been 15 years since I've had chemo/radiation/surgery [abdominal cancer]. The last year and a half I've had onset of HEAT/SUN INTOLERANCE. Can't find any info out there regarding how to treat this, if it's from chemo, or what. I can be in direct sunlight less than 5 minutes in very mild temperatures and just began to wilt quickly........then done for the day. Anyone else out there had this long term issue come up. Help! Any ideas greatly appreciated. Regards, Hal

    Hi Hal
I am just about 9 years out from my first treatment of head and neck cancer and I have a lot of side effects. Mostly I am always cold, I love the heat when it is about 80 or 85 degree, I have no problems being in the sun. So I guess I am just the opposite of what you are, rad & chemo effects us all in different ways.

PS: Welcome to CSN my friend

    Wishing you well

    Heat intoloerance after cancer/chemo

For me, it's definitely heat that gets me...heat levels that never bothered me much before cancer #1 now wipe me out in a hurry.  And when I'm inside, it's even worse.  No idea what the connection is, but given the timing, and the fact that I'm generally not one to believe in coincidences.....
