Got the call that I was dreading this morning. Cancer is back in the left lung and now I have it in the right lung with lymph nodes involved. Current plan is chemo only to see how the cancers react and then possible radiation. Surgery is not an option. I'm still stunned and I'm having a private mini pity party. Tomorrow I will wake up in my fighting mode and nothing will stop me :) Gratefully accepting all prayers, mojo, positive thoughts and whatever else you want to send to help me through this :) |

The initial shock has finally worn off and I think I've finally run out of tears :) I'm gonna be okay, I have faith in my doctors that they will hit this again with everything they have in their arsenal. I kicked it's butt into hiding for almost 2 years and I'm sure I will do it again.
Thank you all for being here for me when I need you, your the greatest!!!!

I pray that the next chemo regimen will knock this (bad word) out for once and for all. There is so much than can be done now to stop it, and I hope they find the right chemo to do just that. Lori

Darn it Glenna. I took two days off the site and you're in a pickle again. Well we all know you are one heck of a fighter, and have a fantastic attitude, so I think the chemo is going to kick it's bu++! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You are a tremendous support to so many of us when we are down. I am honored to support you.

More than expecting....
A little poem just for you Glenna,
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill.
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with it's twists and turns,
As every one of us at sometime learns.
And many a failure turns about,
When we might have won, had we stuck it out.
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow,
You will succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem the worst, that you must not quit!
Sending my prayers for a good result of the chemo,
Shirley

Thank you Pam, I have to say that I smile whenever I see your screen name because it reminds me of how embarrassed I was when I found out that you were female not male - lol. Everytime I see it I still think of peanut butter and jelly :)
Thanks for the prayers and hugs, they help more than most people realize.

You're a fighter
Glenna,
You've been through this before so I know you'll fight & beat it again!!! We are all here for you, never forget that.
This morning at the coffee shop, one of my friends came in & said she had bad news.
She has lung cancer & is going through radiation & chemo too. We were shocked. She had breast cancer 8 years ago. I'm going to tell her about this website & hope she comes on here.
Please let me know how you''re doing. Carole

Dear Glenna
You are in my prayers every day. But it sounds like you're one heckuva strong lady; I sure do admire that. That you can be so straightforward and put up your dukes and face this monster with all you've got! You are an inspiration!
Keep on, dear one, and thank you for helping me and I'm sure many others here on this wonderful site!
