Well, I'm in the midst of the liquid diet portion of my colonoscopy prep. Also have started taking the Dulcolax tablets. Thank goodness I begged for the Miralax prep!!! It's still not going to be a painless process, but at least I'm not drinking something despicable. They moved the colonoscopy up a month, and my oncologist scheduled an ultrasound this coming Monday. I've just had so many issues with pain, he wants to make sure I'm okay. Can't say exactly why, but I wouldn't be surprised to not get good news out of all of this. I've been noticing some symptoms I had before diagnosis that I didn't realize at the time were symptoms. We'll see... *hugs* |

Test Results
Yeah, when it comes to test like this they should have the dr who reads them on standby. We don't need to wait 2 days to a week before getting results. They should be right then and there. Also, if you will be getting a rectum ultrasound I suggest asking them to put you to sleep. I am a big guy, and it took 7 people on that table to keep me down. I say INSIST on it if it is a rectum ultrasound.

Thanks, Buzz, and everyone
Thanks, Buzz, and everyone else. The colonoscopy is set for 8:15 Wed. morning. I'm icky right now, as would be expected. Not even hungry, just want to curl up in bed and hope I don't have myself a little old accident! Of course, that's not possible. I'm keeping the grandchildren, who are somewhat tickled by Nanny trotting to the bathroom!

Oh, that can be embarrassing
Oh, that can be embarrassing. When my grandson (18 months) was visiting a few weeks ago twice I had to check if it was me or not before I said, "Does someone have a stinky diaper?!". We are not so old just digestively challenged. I would not trade those times for all the money in the world, not even for a new colon!
I hope your symptoms are all in your head and you get good new on Wednesday. I will be praying.

Hey Buddy
You've been dealing with all kids of issues lately and the doctors really need to figure out what's going on. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's minor and easily fixable. Don't worry.
I hope everything goes smooooooothly tomorrow.

I'm praying for you
Gail, I'm glad that you got the Miralax/Dulcolax prep. I've used that combo for all four colonoscopies. Praying for good results and that the docs can figure out what's causing your pain.
