Me too!
Deb,
Sending you all my special wishes that the surgery goes well and that you heal and recover quickly. In my heart I know you will, as you have a very significant purpose in this world. Without a doubt, you are a wonderful and caring person, I am sure, to your family and friends. In addition, you have been a fountain of information to all here, I know that you have helped me when I needed info and also your perspective on treatments and procedures.
Take care, dear one.

Hang tough, kiddo
Looking for much more of your enlightment (and sardonic observations) beginning in the very near future.
Take care, be patient, and if you have to tug on superman's cape once in awhile to move the process along, why then, give it a go, my friend,

Ironically, Deb, everyone seems to be praying for you. You and I might share a laugh at that, even if sincerely respectful of their wishes, but if you have found God, please let me know now, so that I can get there a little faster :).
I hope that you are well, my sweet friend, and am so glad that so many, of so many faiths, are rooting for you.
Take care and let us know,
Joe

Thank you Deb for taking the time to let us know you are okay, this only proves what we already know...that you are a thoughtful, caring woman!!! Even though you are just out of surgery and not up to par yet you have taken the time to respond so we will know that you are on the mend.
It sometimes takes me 5 minutes to get through a word and I have NO excuse :)
Just this short note has relieved many minds who were waiting to hear from you.

Miss Staying Calm!
HI Glenna,
Gosh, just one reply from Deb. wonder how she's doing??? Has anyone heard from her?
How are you doing? Our snow has finally mostly melted and looks like spring will finally be here soon. Was out picking up branches in the yard which is still too wet to really do anything to, but got depressed. Tom and I always cleaned up the yard together in spring and this is going to be the 1st anniversary of losing him on Mar. 25. so started crying again. Hope after the 25th is over things get better again. Thought I was doing good, but guess maybe this is natural to have this happen.
Well take care. Carole

I have seen Deb respond to a few other posts here and I know she is upset about her typing not being as good as it was before. I'm sure she will be back on more frequently as she improves. She's one tough lady and she won't let this keep her down for long!!
I'm hanging in there, just waiting for my next scan in May to see what's happening with the new lesion. I have myself convinced that it will disappear all by itself - LOL.
I have a girlfriend who lost her husband two years ago this month and left her with 10 year old twin girls. Naturally, she is devastated and is still having a hard time during holidays and anniversaries. She did tell me that what I had told her was true "It's the firsts that are the hardest, the first Christmas, New Years, birthdays, etc." She still misses him each day but has found that it's a little easier the second year. I'm sure that everything you do that you and Tom used to do together is going to be painful, even something as simple and everyday as doing the yard work. Just try to remember the good times and all the love you shared, I know it won't take away the pain, nothing will, only time will ease the pain.
My best to you always.
Hugs, Glenna

Hey, all =)
I'm more or less back, missed you all too much to stay away =)
My week of recovery coincided with the devastation in Japan, which has hit me harder than I ever expected. I'm not sure why, as I don't have any personal connections there. There were just so many people lost and nothing I can do to fix things :(
I haven't browsed the board yet, hoping to see plenty of good news from you all!

We've missed you too!!!
I was starting to get concerned because it's been a while but I figured you were just resting and healing.
I think I know how you feel about what happened in Japan. I know a young man who is in the military and is stationed in Japan but that's not the reason this has affected me the way it has. I can't explain it, maybe it's because these people had no warning before their lives were changed forever. Heartbreaking!!
Stay strong and stay in touch,

Glad you're back
Deb,
So glad to see you're back. Guess we are all so attached to one another that we miss anyone when they don't post. How are you doing?
Today is one year anniversary of my losing Tom, so I'm having a horrible day. Right now I have "Pandora radio" playing on my computer and their playing songs that the tears are just rolling down my face, but I need to get it out.
You mentioned Japan? Well my daughter-in-law is Japanese and her parents and brother & wife & other relatives live there. They weren't in the worst part, but do have damage to their house. My poor daughter-in-law just threw her arms around me and sobbed cause she wants to be there to help. So I've been so concerned about them too. Although they are lucky cause their son & his wife live in Tokyo and have been bringing them food & bottled water from there. It's horrible though and it's so depressing to watch it on TV.
Well, Deb, I've been thinking about you and hope you stay strong & keep fighting!
Friends, Carole
