Optic Nerve Glioma

Hi all.  i was recently diagnosed with optic nerve pathway glioma.  i am being told it is a rare type of brain cancer and i am looking for anyone with this diagnosis to connect with.

I am scheduled to start a 6 week course of photon therapy at the end of july.  wondering about side effects and if anyone out there has or has had the same diagnosis?

    I learned this and it sounds promising: Although optic nerve gliomas are serious tumors, they usually grow slowly, have a high cure rate, and rarely cause blindness. Perhaps others can share their experiences here.
