One week till my scans again starting to worry again it's weird you feel fine then when your scans are due you start feeling pains again does it ever get easier
I can only speak for myself but scanxiety does set in for me every time. I think the intensity or level of it has dropped a bit over the years. I do still feel pains and twinges in the areas affected. I think from reading the posts on this board is that it us a common experience. All that to say you're not aline in all this! My prayers go out to you. Let us know how it goes hopefully NED no evidence of disease!
i had my four year scan in June. Agree that the scanxiety gets better.....minimally.....as the years pass. The main anxiety this year was CoVid, as we were just getting out of lockdown mode. But all went well.
that I've stopped counting. It's not the scans, which are uncomfortable with the fun stuff to drink, etc., it's the wait for the results that makes me antsy.
And for the past three years, I've come to the conclucion that I have been named the winner of the "Screw Up" contest. If the scheduler, the hospital check in, the wait while ER patientents aare taken first (3 hrs.), the turnover of PA's at the Onc. office, having to have a virtual appt. with a stranger, to name a few; I've come to get annoyed with the whole process This last one was the office submitted a request to Insurance for the test; but they only authorized it for being done 3 months prior to my next Onc. appointment. They won't provide info on the results over the phone, so I stil have over a month to wait.
So good luck with your tests and keep on doing well.
Everything was NED; come back in 6 months. I like those! My new PA actually has a PhD in Nursing Care so I asked her what I was to call her. She said, "Just Jodie." Next up is an appt. with my Nephrologist with a UA and labs next week.

Everything was NED; come back in 6 months. I like those! My new PA actually has a PhD in Nursing Care so I asked her what I was to call her. She said, "Just Jodie." Next up is an appt. with my Nephrologist with a UA and labs next week.
Hope all went well with your test.
