Im a little worried about my first scans every pain I feel I think did it come back.i know god is watching down on me I got to believe everything will be ok.
For me it was at least a year before the aches, twinges, tweaks, pulls, bruised feelings started to lessen. Let us know how it goes amd keep believing. Take care -
That's more normal than normal. When my urologist told me about the diagnoses, I thought he was saying the tumor was on the right side... then I started feeling mild pain from my right flank until the next appointment... our body is just amazing.
Btw, I haven't met anyone from any forums that came back with bad news on their first scan, hope this help :)
Your numbers are NOT TRUE. I don't mean to pick on you, but people come to these boards to find accurate information - let's not give them false information.
These numbers don’t take everything into account. Survival rates are grouped based on how far the cancer has spread, but your age, overall health, how well the cancer responds to treatment, and other factors can also affect your outlook.
Biner, I get that you're a glass-half-empty person by nature, but you're doing yourself and others a disservice by making up numbers to make yourself worry even more.

We all fear reoccurance
Don't let it be the anchor that sinks your ship. Know that you have dodged a bullet. Smile, love, and live on!!!! Just stay up to date with all your appointments.
I am not urging you to believe or disbelieve. There are studies that show a poor prognosis if a relapse happened within a year from removal of the tumor. In addition, I wrote to myself, I have specifically 3 stage and 3 grade and I know my chances. I do not write chances for someone else, but only for myself! Good health to all
And by the way to the statistics, young age is in this cancer is not a favorable factor
I have always been nervous waiting for annual results - just in the few weeks before my appointment with the doc. The rest of the year i push it to the back of my mind. Every time I see someone report NED i am cheered and cheering them on.

I had my first scan a week ago. I had the exact same thoughts as you about every little pain-but all was good. Hopefully you'll have the same results.

You've got this!
Scanxiety is real and totally normal. And yes, you'll think every ache and pain is a recurrence. We all go through it. Nothing to be scared of.
Good luck! You're gonna do great. We're with ya!

I'm guessing you grabbed that 12% from incorrectly remembering an OUTDATED FIVE YEAR survival rate. Here, from- https://www.cancer.org/cancer/kidney-cancer/detection-diagnosis-staging/survival-rates.html -
