One Year post total Thyroidectomy I have Wheezing in my throat

A year ago I had a total thyroidectomy. After surgery they discovered that I had a small papillary cancer.
Often I experience wheezing in my throat. Has anyone else experienced this? I had the initial RAI after surgery now I am debating if I want to have the one year follow up full body scan.
I am female in my late sixties.
