CBD oil
While I dropped my consumerlab.com subscription some time ago because I'm not adding new supplements to my regime at this time, I still get emails from them and this one about CBD oil caught my eye because I remember a prior discussion about black seed oil and cytochrome p450 enzymes. Below is from the email I recieved:
"CBD (cannabidiol) can interact with other medications that, like itself, are metabolized in the body by the cytochrome p450 enzymes CYP3A4 and CYP2C19. By competing for these enzymes, CBD can reduce the metabolism of such drugs, raising their blood levels and possibly requiring downward adjustment of their doses."
Here's a link to the black seed oil conversation. I'm extrapolating that the same interactions that it has with the classes of drugs in this thread would also apply to CBD oil, so I just wanted to put this out there for everyone to digest.
