Afinitor (everolimus) Chemo Pills

in Colorectal Cancer #1

Mom has been on many different chemo and surgeries.  She has stage 4 colon cancer mets to liver.

Last chemo was Stivarga which she was on for 2 cycles and the CT scan showed tumor growth in the liver.  

We've tried all the common chemo for colon cancer so there's not much options let.  Now the oncologist started us on Afinitor (everolimus) Chemo Pills.  Afinitor is actually made for breast cancer patients but our oncologist said that it targets one of our mutation markers.  

Has anyone on here tried Afinitor (everolimus) before?  Any success?

    I've never heard of it and mine was Xeloda.  They are always coming up with new drugs so if someone has been on it I'm sure they will chime in.  Hope that your mom does well on them.

    This is not a new drug.  But

    This is not a new drug.  But it's made for breast cancer.
