Assuming many who have had treatments have suffered from the side effect of the metal taste in the mouth that will not go away.  Any suggestions on how you are dealing with that or dealt with this in the past are appreciated!

    Not a suggestion, but....

    Hi Mary,

Sorry that I don't have any suggestions to get rid of that metal taste. I had that during my chemo and for several months after. It did go completely away after a few months. Where are you in your treatments? It's a terrible taste and very hard to explain to anyone who has not gone through it. In chinese medicine a metal taste in the mouth comes from the liver system so it makes sense that you could have that during chemo when the liver is trying to deal with the toxins. The good news is it does go away after treatment ends. Hopefully you are nearing the end of chemo and can look forward to it going away.

I had that during treatment.  They told me to eat with plastic spoons and forks.  that helped.  and I drank tons of water.

prayers and hugs for better days.  keep fighting.

Hi there! Yes it’s very common I believe and I too had it but the good thing is that it definitely goes away after the chemo so hang in there . God blessings.
