I read an interesting article today.

I often come to this site when I am really down and depressed.  I need to see something positive from those who are going through what I am going through.  I am stage IV.  And I wanted to share infromation about an interesting article that I read today on medicalnewstoday.com.  "Cancer: 'Off-the-shelf' stem cell treatment enters clinical trial."   "In a first-of-its-kind trial in the United States, researchers are testing a stem cell-derived natural killer cell immunotherapy in people with incurable cancer."  The first person to receive treatment was Derek Ruff, an individual with stage 4 colon cancer.  This is for MSS and MSI.  I just wanted to share with the group that there are promising treatments on the horizon.  And while trials take time, there are ways to get treatments "fast tracked" through the FDA.  I read somewhere else that Fate Therapeutics, who is developing the above cell therapy, actually has two other therapies that they are researching.  There are many inteligent individuals out there working very hard to get new treatments tested and approved.

    Thanks for sharing! I'm stage

Thanks for sharing! I'm stage 4 and I'd love to see something better than what there is available right now before I die, even if it's too late for me. I know they use stem cells for some cancers already and it sounds like it's mostly successful. I live in Canada so it'll take a lot longer for anything new to be approved here but more options would be wonderful!
