I'm not sure what the explanation is, but now after my 4th treatment, I felt better quicker. I posted on here about how I didn't know if I could do all 6 treatments and how this 4th one was harder, well, a few days later I felt really pretty good! Yes, the second and third days after were the worst, like usual, but after that I just felt way better. I don't know if it was because I talked about it a lot, or that our local weather has been really nice for the last few days or what. I know that mental attitude has a major influence on a person's perception of how they feel. Do I feel good right now simply because of the sunshine? Or ?? This chemo is supposed to be cumulative, so why do I feel so energized right now? I do know that my weekly blood test is showing all my numbers to be really good so that helps I'm sure. About the weather, I live in Western Oregon, it is pretty much various shades of grey and/or drippy for most of the winter months, so a few days of sunshine are a big deal. LOL I have joked that I thought the book "50 Shades of Grey" was a documentary about Western Oregon winters.

It's so good to hear you're feeling so good!! Chemo was awful for me but to hear how good you feel warms my heart!!

It's weird, every round has been different.  The first round was by far the worst for me, the second was so easy that I thought for sure that they'd screwed up the medication.  Rounds three and four have been worse than the second, but not as bad as the first, and totally tolerable.

I feel oddly great now ten days after 4th treatment!

Today was a great day.  Woke up with energy, went down to my office (which is being sold, due to having to close my business because of my illness), did a lot of going through things and posting stuff from the office for sale online.  As I was driving home, I thought that it felt almost like a normal day before cancer.  And since it's only day ten of the cycle, I have another 11 normal days to look forward to!  It's so strange that the recovery from round 4 should feel easier than the previous ones.

Feeling Great.

During my four rounds of chemo, I had a few eureka days where I felt really well, almost back to normal. Especially during 2 & 3. Sadly, they were not long lasting.

I remember the first

I remember the first treatment being the worst with joint pain, etc.  It hit like a ton of bricks.  My theory, and it is just that, my body had a visceral reation to the chemo and thought, "What's this?"  The next time it thought, "Oh, we have seen this before.  No need to react so crazy."  I know, it is a funny way to look at it, but I am happy for you all who have had an easier response with the subsequent treatment.  I know that not everyone has.

You never know!

I, too, felt really good after the first week during each chemo cycle.  It was easier as we learned sort of what to expect, and to know that the bad parts would, in fact, pass.  Keep on going!!

The Doxil, even the newer version

is hitting me harder in some aspects than the Carbo/Taxol. I was barely nauseous at all with the C/T, for instance. Not so with the Doxil. And sometimes, symptoms hit in the second week. Usually, things improve in the third and fourth weeks, though.

Yes, the first was by far the worst for me, too.  Terrible body aches, pretty bad nausea.  And I fully expected it to get worse each round - it hasn't, it's gotten easier.
