Hernias After Surgery

Have any of you had to deal with hernias after your surgery?  I have lumps in my abdomen right around the points they went in laproascopically...I haven't had them diagnosed as hernias yet, but I'm pretty sure that's what's going on.  Is this a common thing or am I just lucky?

Thanks,

Jim

    Ha!

I have one, big as your fist, right above my belly button. It's causing more pain as time goes on, but it does make a cool squishing sound and freaks people out when I push it in. Seeing a doc on Monday to hopefully get it fixed.

Do you walk around and say "Look what I can do!" Hahaha! I'm sorry your having though. Hope everything goes well getting it repaired.

    Hernia

My large scar was diagnosed as a hernia this year. I had 2 laparoscopic surgeries on that side. The biggest scar was from the nephrectomy about 6". That one my doc recently said caused a hernia. I think it's very common.

    Yup!

Then it freaks people out. It's followed by "EEEWWWW!", "Thats' gross", and the ever popular "don't ever show me that again!"

    Oh!

I forgot to mention I thought I had a hernia near my incision. Super painful. When I told my Surgeon pressed on where it was and said it was just the internal stitches. Very painful. 8 months later still very tender.
