I signed up several years ago on this site and was involved in giving and getting support on this amazing site. I am back again, now a 29 year survivor of NH Lymphoma and wondered if anyone I spoke with over the year's still frequents this site. Please contact me if you remember me, Bluerose. To all of you new to this site, it's amazing, you have come to the right place for support from those of us who have been there and would be happy to help if we can. Namaste

Bluerose, I remember you. I'm so happy you are doing well.

I guess my being here 2 years isn't that long compared to others. However what has happened and changed in my life during those years is something I naively thought would never happen.

I think some people stop here just for a moment to get info or share an experience, then move on.  Others have found it to be more of a community.  The good thing is that it's here for us all for whatever we may need.

Nice to hear from you.

Hi Ginger, So great to hear from you. You are so right ...everyone who comes to this amazing site uses it as it was intended, to help no matter how much or how little is needed in the way of support for ones self or to help some one else then comes and goes as they go through all the stages of dealing with it. So glad I found this site and mostly because of  friends I have met like you Ginger. Hope to chat again soon . Hugs.

I remember your kindness and compassion well. I still read the forum, but post little. It has taken me a very long time to accept the deaths of my husband and daughter, but somehow life does go on. Not a happy life, just a life. Not the kind of life any of us planned for, for sure. He has been gone 5 years and she, four.

I know there have been amazing strides made in cancer treatments since each of them were diagnosed. I wish hope for all that are still fighting "The Beast".

I hope you are well Bluerose and enjoying life.

Wolfen

I was going to message you directly awhile ago. I am sending you a big cyberhug with all the sadness I feel from your post. I am  so sorry at what you are still going through, know that you will be in my prayers. I am sending you lots of love and will try and be around more often. The next month will be difficult but after that hopeful,y things will settle. Talk soon. Be strong. Love, bluerose.

Finely found the emotional support blog, I never scrolled down far enough, even though Wolfen mentioned it long ago. After 3+ years from losing Cindy, and almost 4 years from the last surgery, my need to express the pain has lessened, though in writing those words, it summons back up pretty quickly. With the various anniversaries that come up from all this cancer stuff, I'd rather come here to vent, as the regular CRC blog has so many new people that relating my past and emotions about it, doesn't seem like an appropriate thing anymore. While it happened and for some time after, it felt like shared pain, but now, having survived it all for some time, it doesn't seem fair to subject these newly terrified people to my "old" business, other than to testify about survivorship and getting used to new normals. I wish everyone here all the happiness theiy're able to have, I manage to have my moments, but it is hard not to project where the path was and how it turned, without feeling that melancholy ache, once in a while............................................Dave

I can certainly ,as a 29 year survivor, know how you feel Dave..telling our stories time after time... but don't underestimate how truly inspiring and welcone your personal story can be to those looking for the strength to get through their stories as you have done. I had to remind myself of that many times too. Take care and hope to chat soon . Hugs, Bluerose.
