No, I regret to say I have not. But I am glad you have chose to bring up the topic because I have been to ashamed. I have not had sex in 5 years, and it was so painful I couldn't stand it. Sometimes I don't think I will ever have sex again, sad part is, I used to be a friggin freak LOL. But needless to say, we all have to realize there are some changes in our lifestyle that our Docs told us we would have to expect! So here we are, and thankful that we are here!!

Yes, glad we are here too.  I'm at the beginning of this stenosis journey with my husband I'm worried but maybe if we can't work this out I will try those dialaters?

I think my doctor would send

I think my doctor would send me to a women's center for help?  I've looked and you can purchase them online.

    stenosis...

Hi, radiation has sometimes been described as the gift that keeps on giving!

I was treated initially over 7 years ago and while no longer (at least at the time) sexually active I wanted to be if nothing else comfortable with clinical pelvic exams. I first tried by inserting a slender lubricated tampon and it was a bit of a challenge, then again I was likely tense. Eventually I ordered a set of dilators from https://www.vaginismus.com/ after another member had recommended. They came in graduated sizes started quite small. I found it (for me) most comfortable to use them while in the shower or tub and I did this every other day, sometimes more for quite a while. At my first post treatment pap/pelvic my doctor still used a pediatric speculum and while I did bleed it was not painful. I kind of slacked off using them over the years and pelvic exams have not really changed.

Not everyone does experience a high level of stenosis, but it is safe to assume we all do at least somewhat. I think that with a patient partner and consistent work, most people are able to have a healthy sex life in time. I have read that the best therapy is actually frequent gentle sex as it increases the natural elasticity and lubrication in this area...I think patience of all involved is key though.

Good luck...the company I mentioned offers other material to read more about this issue!
