    Can you be more specific?

What do you mean? I'm not clear from what you say what exactly you're talking about.

    Last night Im standing there............

taking a leak around 1 am, and my pee has a bunch of  bubbles on top of the toilet water, so I think of this thread.  Maybe its all the booze I drank last night, or maybe its just the way the pee hits the water that causes the bubbles( thats my guess). I dont know but today everytime I take a leak Im looking for bubbles, half a dozen times today and no bubbles. So in the name of better living through better chemistry, tonight I will ingest the same amount of medical edibles and drink the same amount of booze and see if I can duplicate the results.

After a quick Google search I found this on healthline, I just copied and pasted so take it for what its worth.

"A full bladder can make your urine stream faster and more forceful, which can cause foam. The urine can also get foamy if it's more concentrated, which can occur due to dehydration or pregnancy. Sometimes, the problem is your toilet. ... Protein in the urine is another cause, and it's usually due to kidney disease.Jun 27, 2016"

    Bubbly

I read the same as  above on DR. GOOGLE . I have bubbly pee no matter how much  I hydrate,  the doc has said I have good kidney function and the pee test show no real abnormalities so I'm just trying to figure out of I have a problem or its just who I am so to speak. Compared to my wife she had no bubbles in her pee...I am just hoping that it's not something to worry about..

Not frothy just bubbly and has been before and after partial Neph..

    Bubbles

I don't want to assume, so I'll ask what may sound as a stupid question.  Are you standing during urination?  Assuming you are standing, the combination of the force of urinating with the distance before it hitting the water line can cause a bubbling effect.  If you sit while urinating do you notice the same?

I'm no doctor but if your tests are negative and this is something that was present before surgery, you probably have nothing to worry about, but have you discussed this with your doctor?

    Good thought Donna

That's funny you say that as I do stand,  but I will check the next time I have a sit down to see if any difference..I will mention to my doc on Wed when I see him for my 1 month surgery follow up. All thing have went good with the surgery and path report I guess I'm looking for something to be wrong. I have to break that bad habit..

    For what its worth..............

probably not worth much, but I drank like a fish Friday night and did the pee experiment. If I hold it in till im going to explode and pee straight into the water with pretty good force I can produce bubbles on top of the water. If I do the same thing yet pee on the inside porcelin part of the bowl no bubbles, so that tells me its about the pee hitting the water not the pee in itself. The booze must also have something to do with it, because I cant produce bubbles during the day just at night when drinking heavy. I think your probably over thinking this, good luck.

    are u using

any kind of stool softener? I think you are noticing that the Michael Bubles seem to have a froth as if there may be an oiley surface tension substance that you can't see. Unlike typical air bubbles in any other water based whiz. It is not the distance or force. It's probably from a med, supplement or food.

    Doc says

Pee test no protein and all things look normal. .Waiting on blood test to be sure kidney function is good (we think it's great) no real explanation for bubbles.. So will see and I'll post anything I find out
