Anyone that had Oxaliplatin that didn't have Neuropathy or had a mild case?

There's a thread with it being a problem and I was wondering if there are people that went through it that had no or minimal symptoms with neuropathy.

Going to see the oncologist in about 30 minutes to get set up.

    Just a little

    I️ had three treatments in Jan/Feb 2017 that included  oxy prior to my surgeries.  The chemo was to shrink the liver mets, which it did so effectively that I️ only needed the three treatments.  I️ had neuropathy symptoms during that course of chemo, but luckily have no residual effects.  Of course, my exposure to oxy was minimal

    I'm just startign o nthe oxaliplatin- I wish i coudl say no, but definately got neuropathy or osemthign goign on- I also have raynoud's syndrom- so it's hard to tell which is happening- but i think it's probably neuropathy- Be sure ot tell your onc about it if it starts gettign worse- they can adjust the dose to hopefulyl stave off full blown peripheral neuropathy for you

    I have had 2 infusions. Then

    I have had 2 infusions. Then 2 more where we will see if my liver lesions are shrunk enough for the surgeon to remove. I am happy to hear yours shrunk so well. I know it is silly, but one of my fears is that they will not shrink enough.

    Minimal neuropathy

    I had eight treatments   of Folfox plus Avastin in 2015, with  very little  neuropathy. I did notice a little numbness  when my feet got cold, but as long as I wore socks and kept my feet warm it wasn't a problem  and there were no long lasting effects-although my little toe on one foot does still go numb every once in a while, usually at night.

    Good to hear. I told the

    Good to hear. I told the oncologist this morning that I'm following about 20 people on Oxaliplatin to get a best-case, worst-case range so that I have some idea as to what to expect in terms of a range. It is nice to know that some folks don't have it that badly.

    Mine would disappear after each round a little bit more slowly until right around the 12th and last round it just stuck around.  Six months later my feet have gotten better they just feel a bit numb when you apply pressure. The hands you can still feel a bit of numbness when typing but the cold sensation is gone. I work in a cooler area (which killed my face while on it lol) and am on my feet 40+ hours a week so maybe the activity helps, i dunno. Anyway that crap did all the work and it was well worth it.

    11 treatments with oxciliplatin. Neuropathy in hands disappeared months after ending treatment. Neuropathy in feet is probably permanent as it is still there years after last treatment. Feeling Blessed to be able to complain. :-)

    Had the 12 treatments of Folfox/oxi, mine was mild and static during treatment. I had hand reactions to cold water, tingling and numbness, couldn't drink cold stuff, and I fatigued more quickly, especially in hotter weather. But I worked[contractor] through the treatment, cold stuff went away after treatment, hand tingling faded after several months, and foot stuff slowly faded over the year and a half after. Hope your effects are on the mild side............................................Dave

    i did 5 treatments out of 8

    I did 5 treatments out of 8 via IV drip so far. I would say mine has been mild thus far. Sensitivity to cold lasts about a week after the drip, that includes touching cold, drinking cold and my infamous eyelids twitching. Lol. The twitching only lasted one day. I don't feel any numbness (yet) on my fingertips and toes. However I do feel the tingling sensation when I tap my fingers on any hard surface. After my 3rd treatment, I did feel some vertigo issue where I couldn't walk straight. Funny thing happened that day when I was coming home from the clinic that one of my neighbors thought I was coming home drunk. Lmao! That lasted only 2 days. Since then I've been walking fine.
