Cancer and fibromyalgia
I have fibromyalgia and just been diagnosed with tonsil cancer. I am wondering if anyone has had to deal with these together. I am scared of pain level. I already have chronic pain, about a 5 to 7 with lyrica and hydrocodone. A lot of my pain is in arms and shoulders.
Any advice is appreciated.

Cancer and Fibromyalgia
I am sorry you have a new diagnosis. I am also sorry you have not had a response to your question.
I have had cancer (not throat cancer). And I have/had fibromyalgia, although it was not diagnosed until after my cancer treatment.
I cannot help with your question, but for what it is worth, I am a friendly fibro person that can at least relate to that part of your situation.
As all who pass this way, you will get through this one step at a time. These are different types of pain. The best way I know how to describe what I have experenced is that they do not stack one on top of the other.
Wishing you the very best,
Crystal

Thank you for response. Sometimes we just need to know someone hears us. My fibro has kicked my butt and very afraid of multiplied pain. Good to know that they don't stack on one another. I always say I am a tough old broad but truthfully I am a scared little girl.
