hi,

Has anybody tried this tea? I have heard some good things about it and wanted to know if any of you had tried it.

Hey Bobby, I was just doing some research myself on dandelion tea and I found this article. According to this, it is supposed to have some good anti-cancer properties.

You might be interested in it?

I have lots of them in my yard, but I think I will find some roots that are already prepared till I can grow some specifically for that purpose. The seeds are easy to find, and I have a little hydroponic garden in a sunny window at home so I will see if I can make a weed grow there. I would HOPE so because they seem to be impossible to kill in the yard! LOL

I have a lot of things that I already use on a daily basis, so adding one more helpful item won't be much of a stretch. Having some nice relaxing tea doesn't seem like it would be too challenging.

How about you? Think you will add it to your regimen?

i'm definitely thinking about it. I'm still researching to see if there is any side effects. Let me know how it goes.

I used to drink Dandelion Root Tea all the time, like at least 1 cup a day - usually around bed time.

My ONC told me to stop, as it may hinder treatment because of its anti-oxidant properties - just like vit C.  I had been drinking since 6 years ago when I had a syncope episode.

My liver enzymes were elevated a week or two after syncope and I read Dandelion helps support liver function, so incorporated that in my routine as well as turmeric.

I still sneak in 1 or 2 cups between chemo sessions.  I usually sprinkle a little turmeric and cinnamon in with it - just a dash.  I kind of like the bitter flavor of the root tea.

If you are in midst of treatment I'd consult your oncologist prior.
