Lupron is only treatment but is working - blood transfusions

My husband is "et up with it" as stage 4 in bones is affecting the marrow and he needs blood transfusions regularly.  Palliative treatments are only option and we only just found out 2 months ago, it's terminal and way beyond any other treatments for the most part.   Does anyone have any experience with Lupron or blood transfusions?   We know that Lupron will only be working 3 months at a time and will stop working at some point.  And then hospice will begin shortly.  But meanwhile, the blood transfusions are a big concern.  Anyone else been through this?  Thanks.
