Awaiting my own Biopsy results

I seriously don't know if I can make it until Thursday to find out the results of my biopsy, this is going to be a very long week. 

I lost my first husband to Liver Cancer and am currently caring for my Husband of 4 years who has battled Bladder Cancer for the last 2years. He entered Hospice just 3 weeks ago. Me being the good caregiver and remembering to take care of myself as well had my annual physical since I turned 50 in June I knew this one would be important. Well, I got a call back on my Mammogram and had more pictures taken. A week later was told I would need a biopsy which I have done. Now it is the waiting that is just overwhelming. I just won't be able to take another blow if the results are positive for cancer. How much can one person take!!!

    My thoughts and prayers are with you

    First of all I want you to know that I will be praying that the biopsy is benign, just a cyst. I know how scary this can be. I was diagnosed with calon cancer in 2015 and after 6 months of chemo and 1 year NED I was told it had metastasized and was inoperable. On the same day my husband was out of town and thought he was having a heart attack. The ER docs first thought it was gall bladder, but a CAT scan revealed a grapefruit sized liver tumor that had ruptured. I suddenly became his caregiver while I was going through my own chemo. I swore I couldn't do it, but I made it through. We only had 7 weeks after his diagnosis. He passed away before Christmas.  I still wish for more time even though it was hard.

    The hospice nurses ​were wonderful. Let them help you as much as possible. Just be there for emotional support, let him know you love him. Hopefully this is just a scare and not cancer. Let us know what you find out. Like I said, I will be thinking about you and praying for you.
