Hello , I don't know if I can ask this question...

What is the common symptoms of NPC ? I have dry throat, sputum , some cough and some nasal obstruction for more than 1 year but I'm not sure I have NPC or not , because my country's hospital is suck ( yes , my mom has uterine cancer stage IIIB and they said her uterine is perfectly fine even she had PAP , MRI and her womb is full of blood ...I can't trust them anymore ) so I want to have some advise before decide if I should go abroad to Thailand's Bumrungrad for diagnose or not.

Thank you for your help and sorry for my bad english...

    nasal obstruction

One thing that caught my attention was nasal obstruction for more than 1 year.

I had the same symptom, before I was diagnosed with NPC. It didn’t go away, I tried various vasoconstrictors, topical corticosteroids, etc. nothing worked. Much later (after 6 months or so), I noticed the lymph nodes increased (4.5 cm) in size, on both sides of my neck.

An ENT specialist should scope your throat and nose, to check, maybe there are just simple benign obstructions (like polyps).

Otherwise, NPC can have many different symptoms, it depends on the stage (size and location), and what is affected by compression (like nerves, vessels, other organs, etc).

Thank you , I realise that most of NPC patients are stage III or IV and in my country , they said lymph nodes size increase is earlier symptoms ( ok....) and that make me don't know I should cry or laugh , maybe in my mother next chemo at  , I must find a doctor and talk to him/her

    My first symptom was

a lump in the neck...started the size of a small pea....by the time I was diagnosed it was quite a bit bigger.

    For me I developed nasal

For me I developed nasal obstructions that I could not clear with a tissue. Thought it was just dried snot that wouldn't come out. Then, major sinus pressure and headaches, especially when going up and down hills. I had stuffy ears. Then the neck lymph nodes popped up. Docs all thought it was the common cold as this all went down in November/December. Then I started getting some blood in the mucus draining in the back of my throat. My nose was completely obstructed by what I found out later was a tumor nearly the size of two golf balls side by side!
