Hello,

Haven't seen Footstomper for a while. His profile says he was last active on 03MAR.

Have anybody heard anything, how is he doing?

This is nervewracking. Praying he is well.

jojo:

i think perhaps the post from Footstomper was on Smart Patients because I can't seem to find it. He was experiencing some chest/lung issues but still optimistic and looking to see what scans showed. It is nerve wracking and my apolObie's to all for the uncertainty I might have added.

I sent a pm to Footstomper and here is the reply I just received from CSN.

Hi Iceman,

We try not to interfere too much in the forums, but when I saw the post tonight about Footstomper, I was worried as well (as I've noticed him missing the last few weeks also.) I'm sorry to say that it appears he has passed on. Here is his obituary which you may want to share with the board - http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/peter-whitby-obituary?pid=1000000184407732&view=guestbook . I know this will hit the board hard as it hits us on the back end as well. Please let me know if I can help in any other way.

Thank you Iceman for doing reaching out with a PM.

And a BIG thank you to the CSN staff looking into this for us. Cannot tell you how important is it to get information when a member goes missing. And thank you for permitting mrou50's wife Patrice to write to us. It all means so much.

Hugs to you for the work you do behind the scenes for US!

Peter Trevor Whitby, 55, of Frederick, passed suddenly on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born on July 25, 1961 in London, England to the late William Cyril Herbert Whitby and Phylis Whitby (nee Needham). He was the beloved husband of Denise Whitby for 32 years.

Peter attended the University College London before getting his master's degree from Hood College. He went on to become a school teacher for the Frederick County Public School system. He was a teacher who touched the lives of many students. He retired from teaching after 26 years.

Peter was a musician who enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and song writing. He was also a talented poet and historian.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Will Whitby and Kathleen Rose Whitby, and his brother John Whitby.

Family and friends can gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home on Sunday, March 12, 2017, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD, 21701, from 4-6 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 6 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

The family would like to extend gratitude to Dr. Arif Hussain of the University of Maryland Medical School. He helped give Peter more time with his family. They would also like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and emergency personnel who helped during his last hours.

Memorial donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society , 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, Maryland 21784.

I am sad for a lost future. I had an idea that footstomper would be aound for years to come and that we would develop some kind of relationship. I felt a compatibility.

I am sorry that I will not get to know him.

I will likely think of him whenever I eat steak and kidney.

I would like to read some of his poetry.

Steve.

this news really hurt.  Stomps was one of the first persons I came in touch with here. He was one of our "rocks".  I looked up to him for his humor, his intelligence and his generosity. I loved his special way of saying things.  I feel like I have lost a friend.  He will be greatly missed...

This makes my heart so sad. I didn't think I would get so upset but ever since he stopped posting I've been checking each day for news. When I was first diagnosed and terrified, Footstomper, Iceman, Fox, Jan, Donna, Medic, were all some of the first people to make me feel like I could and would get through this. I realize today how much the people on this board mean to me. I don't know most real name and only know minimally about each of you aside from a tumor stage and grade. Despite that, I have deep appreciation and care for all of you that have been brought together. I hope he knew how appreciated he was and I hope the same for those that are still with us.

I am out of words as well, stomp is also first first few that I came across with here. Being here has already became part of my life, i am not a person that is good with words but have been worrying to hear this news since last week. Don't know how to describe how sad it feels... Stomps will be missed!

This hurts very deep.  Ditto on what Kat said.  Foots was one of the first to reach out to this "newbie" to help calm my anxiety and assure me that my diagnosis was not a death sentence.  I have a deep level of appreciation and gratitude for Foots and many others here on this site.  God speed, Footstomper.

OH MY, my heart has been stomped permanently! May his spirit know how much I care, that we ALL care. Now he can know we cared how he has been missing.

With Mark (mrou50)'s passing (March 17th) and FootStomper, its too much.

I am also concerned about a newish member (end of Dec 2016) is MIA too=WhatIsLife. Mark (mrou50) and Fox were assisting me with help for him as well. It looked hopeful yet serious last time I talked to WhatIsLife. No obit..phone disconnected. Hope he has the strength to let me know.

RIP dear Footstomper..rest easy big guy!

PLEASE go to his site and write his family about his effects on our hearts, ok folks?

This hurts bad. Stomps, your fight was admirable. I wrote on the guestbook. FYI, you don't need to submit all the personal information if you don't want to, it still took my submission.

Such sad news....my heart is breaking. So much loss all at once. Rest in peace, Stomps. Your humor and positive outlook made your star shine.

You will be missed, but not forgotten. Glad we got to know you here.

Big hugs to everyone.

Seems the Legacy.com site is not working, BUT please keep trying. Write to Peter's family (Footstomper). I know it means a lot to them.

When my husband passed, members of a forum I was active on wrote on my legacy page. I got hundreds of responses; meant so much. I printed them off and still have them in a file.

Hang in there folks=HOPE

And this is the first thing I see, so sad. He was so nice to me when I came here, looking for people that understood what I was going through. I only interacted with him a handful of times, but each time he said something I needed to hear.

sure that foots was doing better while on nivo. I didn't see this coming. Not even a little bit. He wasn't happy with his prognosis but didn't complain. He knew to put his energy to better use. Rest in Peace Mr. Whitby.

I liked Footstomper. His sense of humor was a good one for me.  He taught me how to laugh at all the yuckie side effects of Sutent... and invest in wet wipes.  I am sorry for his familiy's loss.  I am happy that he is not in pain. I salute you Footsie my friend... Fly freely forever.

I wrote on the legacy.com site, so amazing to see all of the wonderful comments about him. I am really sad, like so many others here he was one of the first to resonde to my posts. I also am invested in wet wipes or "moist flushable towelettes" because of his wisdom. RIP Footstomper.

I will miss his humor.  Those Brits and they're "never say die" attitude!  Couple tears, I won't lie.  You made me laugh, Stomps.  Miss you.

I've been away from this board for a couple of weeks.

Came back on tonight and have read about the deaths of two forum members whom I respected very much.

It really brings a dose of reality and humility to what many of us are going through with late stage RCC.

RIP Stomper. RIP Mrou50. You'll be missed.

I haven't been around much. Sad to come back this news. Both Mark and Foostomper were very supportive of me and I'm just really, really sad to hear of their passing. I also feel badly that I was so out of touch with how they were doing. I didn't expect they were close to leaving us. Sorry my friends. Good bye and RIP.

It's been along while since I've been on here. Footstomper was one of the first to greet me last year when I came scared to death. He was upbeat. His presence here will be missed.

Oh no, it has been a while since I have been on here.  Almost exactly two years ago I came here scared to death and footstomper was the first to reply and told me I would be ok. I appreciated his humor.  Lots of love to him and his family.  sad news
