Why does colon cancer seem to manifest itself in the liver and lungs sometimes? Are they particularly related somehow? Mine first showed in lungs, then liver, finally CT revealed colon.

    Dear Friend,

    Everything that gets absorbed by the intestines goes to the liver to be processed so the blood flows from the colon to the liver unfortunately the cancer cells too. From the liver it goes to the heart and from there often to the lungs sometimes the brain. This is the most common route but could be exceptions. It's mostly about our anatomy.
