Going to be a grandpa!

I wanted to share good news with my friends here. I just found out I'm going to have my first grandchild in September. Woohoo!
Honestly, when I had my first tumor (and then the second two years after), I thought I wouldn't live to see a grandchild. When they told me, I must admit I cried. I think I'm going to be around to spoil a grandchild. I'm really excited about it.
So, know this. None of us knows how long we're going to be here. It's so easy when you have cancer or had cancer or are in that grey area of had it not-sure-its-gone, it's easy to fall into the trap of feeling sorry for yourself. I did it. I did it for a long time. I want you to know, it's ain't necessarily so the scary/sad stories you're telling yourself. Nobody knows what's going to happen tomorrow for sure for sure. So hold onto hope. Things can and do get better.
