Hi all. I've been googing quite a bit but nothing seems to have the right answer, and maybe there isnt one. My mother was a very heavy drinker. Gave her a stroke about 5 years ago. Left her unable to speak and she didn't get around too good.   she was diagnosed with liver cancer about 2 years ago very early stage. she would still manage to get booze in her state. They said her only option was a transplant but they would try to keep the tumors at bay until that was possible. She got a call but denied it and tried to go back on the list but her health was too far gone to survive the transplan. So now we are at the end stage. She stoped using the bathroom and was unresponstive. The hospital recommend hospice and we all agreed. She goes from not moving/eating or drinking for 3 days. At the hospital they didn't think she was going home because her pulse was 25. She went 3 days with no food or water and all the sudden she's asking for water and food and with a lot of help is getting to the bathroom. she can say a few things, sometimes.  she can't hold her cup or feed herself. She can't turn on a light or pick something up. doctors keep saying any moment then she perks up. It's a roller coaster.  is this normal? Should I expect her to live for a few days or months? Doctors seem to not know and maybe no one does since everyone is different.thanks for reading and any help you have to offer
