in Ovarian Cancer #1

I just saw my gynecological oncologist yesterday.  I was told that my disease is stable.  There is no change between this summer and the last five months.  I am going to continue on Doxil.  We got our assignment for this summer.  We are going to Colorado Springs.  I was wondering if there is anyone with information on C. Springs.

The doctor would like me to start looking for clinical trials.  Any thoughts on where to start?  I did find a gynecological oncology center.

    Good news!  I know some about Colorado Springs, as I used to live in Denver.  What kind of information are you looking for?  There is a great integrative clinic there that supports oncology patients, Integrated Health Solutions.  I've seen one of the nurse practitioners there and she is amazing.

    Our biggest question-- is place to live?

    I have a son with severe autism, and we are trying to find a good place to live with schools for my son.  Right now we are targeting Briargate (near the Air Force Academy) and Monument, CO.  We want to stay north of town, so we can get to UHC with minimal driving.

    I got a print out of my CA-125, and it fell slightly-- just 10 points.  I will take a slow falling if it means my cancer is stable.  I talked to a few doctors in the area, and they want to keep me on Doxil as long as I'm handling it well and am stable.  So far no skin issues or any other side effects aside from some mild nausea and fatigue.

    ct scan

    i'm having my first ct scan after chemo treatment for OV.  i am scared of the possible results.  any help out there?

    apegaal, try to take a breath.  It takes a long time for the 'scanxiety' fear to pass - I mean years.  I am from the uterine board (aggressive type uterine cancer) almost 5 years out - I get nervous on my visits to the gyn onc.
