Hello Everyone, My uncle, 59 years old has Adenocarcinoma (Stomach Cancer, T4aN3bMx) at STAGE 4 and the cancer has spread around the stomach but has not affected any other organs, except few deposits have been found at lungs. Some Acitis Fluid appears to have spread around the stomach, and doctors are struggling to find their way to reach the tumor, I believe they mentioned that tumor cannot be treated at stage 4. Some 15 lymph nodes appear to have been infected. Doctors have lost hope and say, its our call. My uncle cannot eat or even drink at this point. I would really really appreciate if anyone has any benefecial information or knowledge of good doctors/hospitals, please inform me.

Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi, I was diagnosed with the same kind of cancer back in April, but at stage 2. I first saw a doctor in University of Kanasas Hospital but eventually received my treatments, chemo, radiation and surgery, at M.D. Anderson in Houston. I suggest you get a second opinion from a different doctor/hospital. This may help you guys make decisions.

Best wishes,

Shu

Hello. i too was dx stage3 in October 2016. Currently finishing up 3rd EOX cycle and then hopefully a clean pet scan. If pet scan is good then surgery to remove whole stomach. Has anyone been through this regimen of chemo. They want to do 6 straight EOX and then surgery. please advise.

I was diagnosed with stomach cancer Jan 2016 had surgery May 2016. I had my stomach removed at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. They did the Hy-PAC procedure which was a fairly new procedure at the time and without it I would most certainly be gone by now. As it is I was deemed cancer free in Sept. 2016 and today I feel great!!! I would strongly recommend having this done and if at all possible at Swedish Hodpital in Seattle. It saved my life. I forgot to mention I'm 75 years old.

Hi. I was diagnosed with signet ring cell stomach cancer in Nov. 2015, they gave me 12/18 months, had surgery prior to that and nothing could be done. Not sure if this would help but a person gave me advice while in the hospital that I have followed ever since and believe it has helped. Tumeric, sour sop, I have a pretty strict diet. No sweets, no candy bars, chocolate, cake etc.. no frozen or processed foods, no process sugar or least possible. I almost eat like a vegetarian except I eat chicken and turkey for protein (due to dmgs. Done by chemo, stopped chemo back in July 2016), smoothies with protein powder. I'm not on any medication right now just supplements. I take tumeric and sour sop as a supplement but make sure to research and ask your doctor. Not sure what is going on with my cancer there hasn't been any sign of it ,my last CT scan was in December and doctors really don't have much of an answer for me and not much info. Online. I hope this helps in some way. Always stay faithful and positive.

I was diagnosed with Stge T2B esophageal adenocarcinma in the lower GE junction in the Fall of 2013.  Had standard of care chemo/radiation for 5 and 1/2 weeks through January 2014.  Had a complete response: the esophagus had completely healed, there wasn't even any scar tissue or Barrett's in the esophagus.  I attribute this to the alkaline diet I went on and also daily soakings of my esophagus with sodium bicarboante prior to, during and post treatment.  The doctors were all astonished and said they never saw anything like it before.  I opted out of surgery at this point but two years later the cancer came back in January 2016. I was stunned.  This time a tumor returned in a area a little lower than the first one, in the cardia.  I had a High Grade (SUV 10.6), Stage 3, HER2 Tripple positive (overexpressive) tumor, and had no other option than the surgery (esophagectomy), in February 2016.  The pathology showed one metastatic lymph node and suspected others. My doctors told me I needed more chemo again right away and that because I had recurrent esophageal cancer and metastatic lymph node that I would likely not survive if I didn't do additional treatment,  but I refused for a number of reasons. In particular, I had such severe complications from the surgery I was on a feeding tube for 11 weeks following the surgery, and then dealt with an anastomtic diverticulum, and refractory anastomtic strictures through the summer of 2016. I had been researching this disease for 3 years and had been writing a book a long the way. I came across some amazing things patients can do with diet that helps fight cancer, chief among them was restricing an amino acid called methionine (an essential amino acid). I founds scientific and clinic studies on restricting methinone from cancer and showed that cancer needs it to survive more than anything. I went on this diet, but also exercise, take natural supplements and added a alternative/naturopathic doctor out of pocket as a complement to all my other doctors. My cancer has been in remission for over a year now and I attribute it to the restricted Methionine diet.  WEAR TV 3 in Pensacola got a hold of my story and interviewed me and looked at my medical records to verify what I was saying and did a segment on my story on February 26, 2017.  <Content Removed by CSN Support Team> You can email me at: gethealed.jm@gmail.com I can share my story with you.

Stress caused a lots of unknow disease, doctor always ask you to take rest when you sick. You probably got a lots of stress from the cancer treatment. Nobody knows if they'll be alive tomorrow, have good sleep and enjoy your life. In many country, they don't tell patient they have cancer, the news itself can kill a healthy person.
