Need a little help: Unspecified malignant neoplasm of skin
I was recently diagnosed with: "Unspecified malignant neoplasm of skin of left eyelid, including canthus". I am not sure what that means. I have a brown spot on my lower eyelid at the eyelash line, that grew somewhat rapidly. My Ophthalmologist performed the biopsy and I have the entire spot scheduled to be removed on 12/20.
Two questions:
1. Does unspecified mean it could have metastasized from somewhere else?
2. Should I see an Oncologist? My Ophthalmologist did not refer me to anyone and is going to remove the spot.
Any help with these two questions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
