Wondering if anyone with a partial robotic lap nephrectomy has pain on/in the little scars?  The one hurts and has a little bump on it  too. It's been 6 months and just started about 2 weeks ago. Hurts when sitting get back it's the one just below my rib.  I'll ask Dr in two weeks.  I'm going for my first 6 month mri follow up Monday and results hopefully before appt. I'm definitely  anxious about it! Just when I started feeling a bit less daily stress the dreaded follow up scan is due.

Sending positive vibes to everyone ;)

    Best wishes Kim

I hope that's NED following you around.....I'm quite sure I see his shadow behind you.  Smile

I cannot identify with the scar issue but have it checked....could be a stray stitch that didn't dissolve and flaring up.

    Let us know.

    I concur with stitch possibly

Have to agree with Hardo there... I had a couple stiches poke out on me for a couple weeks.  Apparently they don't dissolve as well when they're exposed to air.  I read some people on other boards used tweezers to gently tug on the ends and then snip them so they recede back under the skin and that worked for me.  They dissolved eventually then.  But if the pain feels more on the surface, then I'd think it was probably the stitches... If it's deeper and more muscular then it's probably just continual healing.  There will be little tweaks (almost feel like "growing pains") here and there for many months after.

One of my scars feels numb

I have my lowest robotic scar that feels numb to the touch. It feels odd if clothing is rubbing on it. Amazing how the little stuff makes us worry!

    Scars and numb sensations

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy in '87, then tore up my knee skiing in '88.  Both scars still have a mild loss of sensation when touched lightly.  Nerve injury.  And then the 18 " leftovers from cancer.  That one itches at times.

Good luck on the next test
