I had wanted to post a picture but that feature doesn't seem to be working again :(  So you will have to imagine the picture.

I just wanted to write and let those who are currently battling head and neck cancer that better days lie ahead. A year ago we were just finishing up chemoradiation and fighting through weight loss, inability to swallow, horrendous mucositis, and neutropenia requiring hospitalization. We had had to postpone a long awaited trip to Alaska to visit our daughter who had moved there.

Well friends, just about a year has gone by, and we just returned from that Alaska trip where we had experiences that were memorable and exciting. We even climbed Flat Top mountain in Anchorage (that was the picture I wanted to share).

So don't give up, don't give in to discouragement....better days are ahead.

Barbara

    Yes! Flat Top!

It was a challenge but we did it! Unfortunately the day was misty/drizzly so we didn't get the panoramic views but we enjoyed every minute of it.

    Sorry,

    Sorry,

We are investigating why pictures have stopped working again. I apologize and am sad we cannot see your picture Barbaraek (although I am happy you guys are at a point where you could take the trip!)

Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.

    Best Regards,

    Simone

    Wonderful and Positive

Thank you for sharing your positive story!  We're at the beginning of our journey and have had to post-pone our fall trip to Florida.  There will be better times and they will be that much sweeter!!
