    Makes me want to cry

I'm really sorry this is happening. And I'm glad to hear you talking about pulling up the big girl panties. Do that, and find a pair of boxing gloves, and get your grrrr on. All easier said than done, I know, but it's today's path.

I'm here cheering you on, and I'm sure you'll hear from a bunch more of us.

Sending you a huge hug and some extra energy.

    xoxo

    Oh no, Pat!

It seems like you're being tough about this with the "big girl panties" remark! I think it's the best advice you can give yourself. I'm proud of you!! We are  in your corner and thinking and praying for you. Hugs, Linda

Pat, I wish the outcome were different.  This will be tough and while I wish you didn't have to, I think you can win this fight.  Sending strength your way.

    Arghhhh!

I read your post last night.   I am so sorry!  The folks on the ovarian board are very knowledgeable about their treatments, but please don't forget us here worrying about you, too.  Please keep us informed about how you are progressing.  I'm hoping your ovarian cancer will get knocked out of the ballpark.  Please be sure you see a gynecologic oncologist.

    Hugs,

    Suzanne

    We are all behind you

ppurdin, sorry to hear this about you. Whatever your treatment will be I am sure it will be right for you. So many good treatments today than 10yrs. ago. You have gone through so much and you are a fighter. We will all be behind you in this and I know you are scared but everyone would be. With you having to have more test things may not be as bad as we always think.  Tell us when you go to the doctor and all of  us pink sisters will put our big girl pink panties on  also and be there with you. We will all go in the doctors office with you and pull our pants down and show the doctor that us pink sisters stick together. Would that not be a sight to see. Smile Prayers, love and hugs for you, Pixie Dust

Are you sure your ovaries are gone?

Pat, I'm curious about your previous hysterectomy - 28 years ago.  Are you sure they didn't leave your ovaries in place because of the hormone benefit?  Hysterectomy only refers to removal of the uterus.  When I had endometrial cancer, I had a hysterectomy (uterus gone), bilateral oophorectomy (ovaries and tubes gone) and lymphadenectomy (some lymph nodes removed).  My surgery was for cancer, so it all goes.  Goodbye.  If your hysterectomy was for something like fibroids or some other uterine condition, it may be possible your ovaries were left behind, especially 28 years ago, because you were a young woman.  My daughter had a hysterectomy at age 40 (not for cancer) and her ovaries were left because of her age - and they felt it was best that she experience menopause naturally and have the continued benefit of naturally produced estrogen.  Not so if the hysterectomy had been for cancer.  Please see a gynecologic oncologist.  You will be able to have peace of mind and get your questions answered.  You should be able to be entitled to a second opinion.  While my uterine cancer is a different beast and it was low grade, I felt so comfortable being under the care of a gynecologic oncologist - they are the experts on gyn cancers, and it's my understanding that ovarian cancer can be tricky.

I had a partial when I was 22.Then several years later had everything removed.I ask my Cancer Dr.how this could be.She said sometimes when they remove the Overys they brake up in little pieces. And pieces are left behind.Causing seeds like that can form into cancer.Still hard to believe I know.Thank you for your comment .
