    Peace everywhere

    I wish there were an easy fix, but there isn't going to be any kind of fix for a very long time.

    not my intention to start any poltical dialogue.  I guess I just remember years ago when we would share current events that were significant.  I felt a bit badly after posting because there are so many newcomers on the site in recent months and I know they really need specific support about their health situations.  It was just different in the past because for a long time there was a group of people that had been on a long time.  I wish I had more to offer the newcomers.  As a former caregiver I may not be the best voice for them to hear.  Yes ... peace for all.

    I have had the people in Paris on my mind so much since this happened. I don't know if this makes sense but it helped me to put my cancer situation in perspective. I suppose terrorism is a cancer of sorts.

    Not A Bad Thing

    I do not think it is bad to post this.  You are just mentioning a call for peace after a horrific event that hit close to home for many.  Empathy is not a bad thing, and it is going to be found in many people who are going through serious issues as a caregiver or patient.  And I do not think any advice or support would be missing due to the post.

    I wish there was peace in the world as well. It's sad to know my grandchildren have to grow up in this violent world.

    to the people of France. The cancer analogy is fitting for terrorism, it metastasizes and is almost impossible to cure. We must keep trying though because we cannot let evil win. Good luck to all of us.

    partisan issue but has remained a general and compassionate discussion.

     

    I remain optimistic.  I continue to be amazed at the amount of genuine goodness in the world.  May compassion and love continue to guide our human family through times of darkness.

    Daisy13, I'm glad you started this thread.  You did begin with "Off topic:...." so people can decide whether to read or skip it. I chose to read it because I was thinking about it myself, as are many others.  Terrorism  is like a cancer.  It makes us scared, sad and angry.  With cancer, however, many of us have hope and a belief that we will be okay or at least with treatments, extend our lives for many years to come.
