Hi all ,

While I don't post often anymore , I still stop in now and then to catch up on the postings. I see my onco tomorrow and my ent on Monday for my 6 month check ups...had my CT scan on Monday , and after all this time that dang scanextity still creaps in ... So as my heading says I'm still kicking cancers **** and winning the fight 3 years , 10 months later, and expect to greet my friend NED one more time..for those of you starting or in this fight , and for those that we have lost to beast , blessings and fight the good fight.

Linda

    Glad to hear

you are doing well. It's very encouraging to those of who started this road after you, to know that good outcomes are possible. Hope everything checks out ok with your oncologist and ENT. Please stop by and post from time to time as it is a blessing to hear good results from others.

    That is wonderful to hear...NED

I think once you ate told "You Have Cancer" it is always somewhere in the back of your mind to some degree. I just passed my two year and will get the "offical doctors" report when I see him in Nov 2nd. The only part I don't look forward is it is a 430 mile round trip which is long and hard at times. Takes 12 hours most of the time. I do get to see the Doctor and staff that saved me and I do look forward to that. For some reason going to get scoped has never bothered me as the surgery got it all and then some, so I have never had and feeling that it could or might come back to my H&N. Now my lungs and COPD is different as I lost my Father to lung cancer in'84 and I am on the same path as he was so It is very likely I too will someday end up with that as well. But I have learned how to fight and survive so i'm not too worried about that. Make sure you let us know that you got to hear those wonderful word....NED

    Wishing you the best.

Wishing you the best. Phrannie and Barb, it looks like we have found a fourth for the fan. (Sounds like a bridge game.) At least we can balance each other out!

    Thanks All

Saw my ENT yesterday, all is well , like my onco , he says I'll see you in 6 months , he then said he has seen 3 cases of  tonsil scc this year alone , I was his first 4 yrs ago, not to scare anyone, he said they were all previous smokers, not that smoking is always a contributing factor..... So if you , your loved ones , or friends are smoker encourage them to stop ..of course they have to want to stop...btw I was never a smoker.

    blessings and light to all

I shot trap/clay ,targets competatively when I lived back east , I started to shoot again at a range close to my house , the pic is from last Sunday , hoping to get back the competitive side again.

Good luck with resuming your shooting...

What a great visualization....picking off cancer cells with a shotgun. I always pictured the chemo going into the bad cells like stealth bombs and blowing them up. I'm glad to are getting back into something you love.

    Nice report

Thanks for reporting back in Linda. It is really nice to hear from those doing fine. The tendency is most posts here cover the dark side of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recurrence. It is easy to miss the fact that the VAST majority are folks like you and have returned to living large and just simply forget or too busy to come visit old friends here. Thanks Don
