Post Hysterectomy Spotting

in Uterine/Endometrial Cancer #1

I had my radical hysterectomy about 2 months ago. I'm currently on carbo/taxil.

Lately, I have some pink vaginal spotting on the toilet paper. No discharge. No pain. This seems to occur about 2 days after my weekly chemo treatments.

Anyone else have this?

    Maybe shoot a quick call out to your doctor's office.  Mine always get on me for not calling them enough:)

    I did

    Be sure to tell your doctor, but here's a word of reassurance relevant to in my case.  I spotted for quite a while, maybe a little longer than 2 months.  Maybe even 3.  Just ever so often I'd notice spotting on toilet tissue.  I started chemotherapy for breast cancer around 3 weeks after my hysterectomy, and the explanation was that the doggone chemotherapy made the healing of my vaginal cuff take longer.  And it finally healed and the spotting went away and all was well.   But I reported it and I was checked.  I was examined after hysterectomy sort of often simply because of the slow healing.  No one was worried, but I was . . . and I was perfectly willing to be examined.  Arghhh.

    Appreciate the feedback. I had a feeling this was normal. And, I have noticed that things take way longer to heal since I have been on chemo. In fact, one of my little incisions still isn't healed. They said it was fine though so I'm not worried about it.  Suzanne, I HATE the exams. I have vulvadenia so it takes a few days after the exam for me to stop hurting. Not the end of the world, but it is something I avoid if I can. Not looking forward to all that messing with me for the radiation. ugh!

    Exams

    So sorry about your experiences with exams, Cindi.  Is there something they can do to help with the vulvadenia?   I grew to hate exams too.  I have bowel issues and was always so afraid of losing control.  However, the exams are important they say, and I showed up for mine for 5 years.  Since I had early stage low grade cancer, I am now dismissed by the gyn/onc.  He recommended yearly exams by a gynecologist, but I'm just done.  Had my cancer been more aggressive like so many of you ladies, I might feel differently, but I'm so happy to have played by the rules and now be done.

    Please report the spotting, tho.  Just because I had it and was fine, doesn't mean something wierd isn't going on.
