Hair Regrowth After Six Rounds of R-Epoch six days each in the hospital

I finished one month ago my sixth round of R EPOCH in the hospital, each of which was for six days.  I was undergoing this for a total of 126 days, six days in the hospital, 15 days out, six rounds.   I lost my hair after my first round.  Its been a month since I walked out of the hospital and no hair has grown back.  My cancer is gone (PlasmaPlastic Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, large B cell) but so is my hair still gone.

Anyone with similar treatment have any knowledge as to if and when my hair might start growing again??

    J,

    Your hair should begin to return anywhere between tomorrow and the next month or so (radiation to an area sometimes will permanently destroy hair, however).  Although about 50% of all chemos cause hair loss, none that I am aware of cause PERMANENT loss.   Your wait thus far is not excessive and does not indicate any problem with regrowth.

    When your hair returns, it may come out a different texture or even a different color from before.  My hair was very wire-like before chemo, but returned baby soft, although thinner than before treatment.   I lost even my eyebrows and eyelashes.   You do not say if you are male or female, but my facial hair returned weeks or perhaps even a month before the hair on my head ever did.

    May you look like a guitarist from an 80's rock band soon !

    I'm in the same boat.

    I'm in the same boat. Finished 6 rounds of R-EPOCH (for primary mediastinal DLBCL) on August 8th and up until a few days ago, no regrowth. I will say that in the past day or two, I've been experiencing some itchiness of the scalp and my head seems to be covered in tiny little bumps and what feels like a very slight rough fuzz. I think it's my hair follicles waking up again :-)

    I've also noticed some body hair regrowth in the past week or so (mainly legs and weird places like a light growth on the backs of my fingers)

    Your post reminded me of one other oddity with my hair return:   my beard came back for one side of my face, but then went away (without shaving). It then came back on the OTHER side, and then went away. After doing this for a week or so, it gradually came back normally on both sides....I mentioned it to my family doc, and he said there was no reason to ask the oncologist about it, sine it was undoubtedly inexplicable.  Bottom line: expect the unexpected.
