    Low dose chemo

Not sure where you are in treatment since this was posted in August, but Low dose chemotherapy is the way to go! My husband was treated At Mayo for a year with chemo, none of it worked, was told to find a trial, trial didnt work, he was given 2 weeks to live....he was in end stage liver failure and we found a doctor that wanted to try one last time....Dr Bruckner of Bruckner Oncology in the Bronx, NY. After only one week of his low dose chemo treatment, my husband tumor markers started dropping in half every 2 weeks....its been incredible! His bilirubin was 12 at its highest, is now normal, his CA19-19 was as high as 240,000 in July, and is now at 2500 (normal is below 35)...we are getting there! His CEA was 313 at its high, is now 8.6 (normal is below 2.5), we are getting there! Have met so many people coming to him from all over the country and they fly in every 2 weeks for treatment. Many have come from the Mayo's, Sloan Ketterings, etc...after being told nothing more we can do for you....He's been doing this for 20+ years and from what I have heard is the best in the country at low dose chemotherapy. My husband should not be here right now! We have a daughter who started college and he took her to school with me (wasnt supposed to be able to do that) and our son is still in highschool. Grateful for everyday and praying for continued success of this treatment....seeing huge successes formthe others going through the same thing!
