Divorce of cancer survivor

I am a cancer survivor. My spouse is filing for a divorce now. The diagnosis and treatment of the cancer were within the marriage period. Both of us are working now, but I am suffering from serious side effects of the radiochemotherapy treatments. It is very possible that I will lose my job due to the side effects of the treatment. Is there any legal protection for the cancer survivor during the divorce?
