PET Scan

I am a 3 yr survivor, Non-Hodghins, I have not had a PET scan in a while. I have gained a lot of weight since I was cleared from chemo, too much to have a PET scan. How can I be tested to make sure that I am still cancer free. I am having some issues that cause concern. I know that I get a little jumpy when something happens with my health, a little paranoid with good reason though.

An MRI should still work ok. The resolution is not as good as a PET/CT combo scan but it could provide useful info. Also be sure your blood work is up to date. I would suggest a serious discussion with your Oncologist and tell him/her your concerns. Best of luck and have a happy holiday season.

if your physical size is not compatible with conventionall scanners, they do have scanners in which you can stand up. Try to find one of those.
