Now What?

in Kidney Cancer #1

Yesterday my wife and I made the 400 mile round trip to UCLA for the biopsy on my hip. It wasn't fun but not bad at all. The doctor that did the biopsy said that until the tests are done on the tissue taken we will not know for sure what we have. That being said he did say that from what he saw on the CT and from previous experience he is pretty sure that it is kidney cancer. It sounds like they are going to do a radition treatment on my hip before they deal with the tumor in my kidney. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has dealt with an issue similar to this and can give me some idea as to what I have to look forward to.

    Radiation is easy. But if

    Radiation is easy. But if possible see if you can get sbrt / Cyberknife. You may have pain for some time after. Good luck Ron

    Thanks Ron, UCLA does have the cyperknife so I imagine that's what I'll get. I have been following your posts and hope all is going well with you.
