Papillary thyroid CA. Enlarged tongue

in Thyroid Cancer #1

I will have surgery next week because I have thyroid cancer. My tongue feels too large for my mouth.  I actually have to curl it behind my lower teeth to avoid protrusion and it causes difficulty swallowing.  Is this part of the thyroid cancer or should I be looking into other causes?

    hi joycole4. i had a total thyroidectomy in feb 2014 and have been doing pretty well.i have never heard of a persons tongue swelling from thyroid cancer i would look at other causes and let us know how your surgery went.take care ..Bryan
