Prayers for son

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

I know it isn't cancer until they say it is cancer but after what I have been through I can't help but worry. That said I want to ask for prayers for my son Lonnie. He started having jaw pain on his left side near the ear (where Jim's pain started) and thought it was his wisdom teeth. Dentist said no, maybe he grinds teeth at night. Meds didn't help and pain got worse so my son went back to dentist. Dentist sent him to a specialist. Appointment is tomorrow, Friday. I haven't said anything to my son because I do not want to scare him but I want to insist he gets an MRI soon. They misdiagnosed Jim for 3 years and never did a test so I am afraid to wait for them to get around to it. Lonnie is a smoker and drinker so at high risk. He is my baby and only son. The thought of him suffering like Jim did is killing me. Please pray for him and for me to be calm.

    Debbie, I am so sorry for your worry.   It probably is not cancer, but I totally understand your fear. I have said a prayer for you and your son. Lonnie is lucky to have you for his advocate.   Be well.

    for you and your son!  My youngest son has a swollen lymphnode that won't go away, so I live with fear, too.  We can pray for each other and lean on each other!  ((HUGS))

    Praying for peace and relaxation for you both.  After as much as you've been through, try to stay positive!  Hopefully it is nothing!  My friend had something simliar to what you are describing and it ended up just being an infection.  Yes it could have been serious, but was treated quickly!

    Hope all is good now..

    Hope the visit was good. One thing is certain; you are far more experienced in the Beast so you can ensure the proper tests and actions are taken as necessary in a prompt manner. Best to you and your son.  Hopefully your son gets a wakeup call and STOPS smoking and drinking, the combination is seriously harmful.

    PRAYERS ON THE WAY

    JUst like a few others have said, "it's not cancer until the biopsy says so" But way easier to say that and not worry. Prayers and positive MOJO on the way from my family to yours.
