Friends of Buzz

I got a note from his minister of music yesterday that said Buzz's sister is battling cancer. She had not been doing well with tx's but her last report showed no cancer. She has not told the church what kind of cancer it is.

Also, he thought we'd want to know that Buzz's kids are doing great. A local group did a big event a few weeks ago for kids with terminal parents and they included Buzz's little kids. He said the family is doing fine.  It doesn't seem like  a year, does it?

Anyhow, I'm not sharing any names so thought this would be okay and those who pray might pray for his sister.

    Thank You, Patch

But so sorry to hear the news of his sister. Buzz & his rope held so many of us up. He was one of the first to offer help to JBG & myself.

Glad to hear that his children are doing well.

    Luv,

    Wolfen

It's nice to hear that his

It's nice to hear that his kids are doing okay.  I still feel for them so deeply.  I hope his sister makes it through, that's a lot for one family to handle.  The year really did go by fast.

    Thanks Patch

Like Wolffen and many others here, Buszard was there for me at the start of this journey and is missed by many.

    I miss so many

I miss Kimby. She always made me laugh. I finally 'unfriended' her college aged son.  For over a year he closed every status remark on Facebook with a remark about his mom. When I noticed he'd stopped, I thought maybe it was time for him to move on and he didn't need my face to remind him of his pain.

I miss Lisa42 so much.  She was so brave and tenderhearted.  I pray her children have healed from her loss. I know one of the kids got bitter toward her at the end as if she could just choose to get well.  It broke her heart. Lisa's brother remains a good friend and two of her girlfriends have become good friends to me.

I miss Patti who went by pittap.  Her children were so young. After their mother's death, they never mentioned her again. Immediately their Facebook pages were filled with fun and games, trips with friends, pictures doing things with others.  I removed them and her husband as a friend because it hurt me that she seemed to disappear..... tho I know it was a way of coping.

I could go on and on.  Donna wrote me not long before she died to say she'd come to peace with God.  Jennie wrote me the day before she was hospitalized to check on ME. That was just 'Jennie'.

Remember Elizabeth, the young and newly married girl? What a sweetheart. She died during a surgery they thought would possibly bring a cure.  Her husband notified us.

I recently went through my Facebook friends list and removed everyone who has died. There were so many over the last 6 years.  I'd get a notice about their birthday and it just tore me apart.

By no means is this the full list........ just those who came to my heart as I remembered Buzz today.

    Cancer sucks!

I'm sorry that you've lost so many friends on here. I am not on here long and just knew a few who have passed. I find everyone here so caring and full of great information. I'll keep Buzz's sister in my prayers.

    Thanks for the update

I am so sorry to hear that Buzz's sister is dealing with cancer.  It is very tough on a family to have more than one member get it, regardless of "which type".

There have been so very many folks who came here to share and support and be supported who are no longer with us.  Yet, I would not trade one message or moment to ease the loss felt.  Every person who comes to "the door" is a fighter and special in their own way.

    Patch,

Thank you for letting us know.  A year?  Oh my our friend has been gone a year.  I am so sorry to hear that his family is having to suffer more with his sister battling cancer.  God bless his kids.

Also, thank you for writing the names of our other friends.  Each name you wrote meant much to me.  They helped me cope with so many different struggles.  I loved reading their names even though I miss them so much.

Sigh, this is a horrid disease.

    Aloha

    Vickilg and Doc Hawk

I can clearly see the face of Vickilg, whenever I think of her. Looking over her shoulder, smiling, so beautiful. And Doc in his bight, shiny waistcoat (vest). I still can't believe they passed on the same day. I fancy they met on their way up to that everlasting resting place.

    So many passed.

I am heartsick to hear that Buz's sister is now dealing with cancer. I'm sure she learnt allot from Buz, which will help her on her journey.

    I was not aware

I wasn't aware that vickilg and doc hawk had passed away - I still read their older posts when I do some search for something I want to know - I don't know whether I missed that or I don't remember reading about it  -they were coping so well earlier and probably was a chronic thing that they always managed to cope with in some way.

i feel sad about them not being here anymore - very cruel ! Hope they find some cure or some way to make this thing somethig. That one can live with - even if it means with some medication or some treatment .
