Anyone have any words of wisdom before I start the process? My employer has flat out said they are giving me 2 weeks to return. I read that I could get SS disability with the small cell lung cancer diagnosis.
And I think fully disabled. They probably do this several times a week. With a diagnosis of extensive LC you should be approved no problem. Mine was approved right away.
Excellent advice Dawn! If you feel like you need to have someone help, that's one of the duties of an oncology social worker and there is one available at your hospital.
Thanks everyone....I appreciate the input! I started the paperwork online, then a box popped up saying to finish the form but with my diagnosis to contact my local social security office right away to avoid delays. That sounds promising.

Easy Process
My husband was approved easily. Best advice don't waste money hiring an attorney or someone to do the paperwork for you. There should be no need.
